Patricia brings strategic insight coupled with an independent evidence-based approach to complex long-term economic and social policy issues facing Australia. She is a recognized champion for greater stability and a longer-term vision in retirement incomes policy development, providing an integrated perspective across superannuation, the age pension, housing and aged care. As a practitioner in the complex and nuanced interface between public policy, industry and the community, Patricia facilitates purposeful engagement to build broad consensus for reform.
Previously, she led the creation of Mercer’s global government funds consulting practice advising government pension authorities and sovereign wealth funds and has been at the forefront of the development of this sector. She played a pivotal role in establishing the Australian Future Fund’s governance and investment capability and has held senior strategic roles at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australian Securities Exchange, Commonwealth Treasury and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. She holds a First Class Honours Degree in Economics and Masters of Finance.
